SERVICE OVERVIEW
Holder Storage Malta provides a service of secure, self-service locker rentals for personal belongings on a flexible daily use, available during operating hours as specified on our website and location.
LOCKER USAGE
WHAT ITEMS CAN BE STORED?
Subject to the restrictions detailed in the “Usage Limitations” section, customers may store personal belongings that fit within the designated locker dimensions, ensuring that items are placed in a way that avoids overloading or obstructing closure.
Items with a value exceeding €250 may not be stored in a single locker. Moreover, no valuables may be stored, as detailed in the “Usage Limitations” section. If, however, valuables or items with a value exceeding €250 are placed in a locker, the agreement shall be deemed not to cover those valuables. The storage of items with a higher value than €250 is at the risk of the customer.
CAN THE LOCKER BE ACCESSED MULTIPLE TIMES DURING THE RENTAL PERIOD?
No. Interim opening of the locker is not possible. To reuse a locker, payment must be made again. A new, not necessarily the same, locker will then be assigned by the system.
LOCKER RENT & ACCESS
To rent a locker with Holder Storage Malta, users must meet the following conditions:
• Be at least 16 years of age.
• Agree to the terms and conditions, usage policy, and privacy policy.
• Consent to Holder Storage Malta data processing terms as outlined below.
EXCEEDING STORAGE OR USAGE PERIOD
The items being stored must be collected during the specified opening hours and before the expiration of the reserved rental period. After the rental period has expired, an hourly surcharge (extra price/hour) will be applied for up to 48 hours. The lockers will only be opened once the due fees have been fully paid.
To make alternative storage or collection agreements, an email request needs to be sent to support@holderstoragemalta.combefore the expiration of the reserved rental period.
48 hours after the rental period has expired, Holder Storage Malta is authorised to store the luggage elsewhere. If a total of 5 days have passed without the items being collected, the customer has relinquished their right to it. Holder Storage Malta is then entitled to sell or destroy the items, without the customer being able to make a claim in the case of destruction or sale.
If the items need to be sent to the customer, the additional rental price + administrative fee of €50 + shipping costs, must be settled in advance.
If Holder Storage Malta personnel need to be present for a reason, the following rates apply:
By appointment (next day): €25
Urgent and without appointment: €50

Requests should be submitted in writing with a valid ID to support@holderstoragemalta.com.
DECLARATION:
Upon renting a locker, I agree that in the event of a non-collection of my belongings - before the expiration of the reserved rental period or after 48 hours from the rental period expiry, and with no email request sent to support@holderstoragemalta.com to make alternative storage or collection agreements - I authorise and consent Holder Storage Malta and linked personnel to remove the items from the locker and dispose of them as necessary, and renounce the right to claim compensation for these items.
INSPECTION, DESTRUCTION, AND REMOVAL OF ITEMS
If the items are stored in a locker provided by Holder Storage Malta, personnel of Holder Storage Malta are authorised to open that locker and inspect its contents, even if the items have been entrusted to Holder Storage Malta in a closed suitcase, box, or similar container.
Items deemed dangerous or likely to cause inconvenience to Holder Storage Malta may be destroyed or removed by Holder Storage Malta at the customer’s expense, without the customer being able to make any claim in this regard.
DATA PRIVACY NOTICE
Data Controller: Holder Storage Malta
Purpose:
• To manage and fulfil locker reservations.
• To send promotional communications (with consent).
Legal Basis:
• Contractual necessity for fulfilling reservations.
• Consent for marketing correspondence.
Recipients:
Data is not shared with third parties unless legally mandated.
Data Subject Rights:
You have the right to access, rectify, restrict, oppose, or delete your data. Requests should be submitted in writing with a valid ID to info@holderstoragemalta.com.
Surveillance:
Holder Storage Malta facilities are equipped with 24/7 CCTV systems to ensure security and proper usage of locker units. Notice of surveillance is clearly displayed, in compliance with applicable data protection regulations.
Retention:
Personal data will be retained only as long as necessary to provide services and comply with legal obligations. Marketing consent can be withdrawn at any time.
International Transfers:
No personal data is transferred outside the jurisdiction. No automated decision-making is applied.
LOCKER TYPES & CAPACITY
Holder Storage Malta offers four locker sizes:
Medium – 22.6 cm x 45 cm x 77.5 cm: Fits 1 cabin bag or 1 backpack.
Large – 47.5 cm x 45 cm x 77.5 cm: Fits 2 cabin bags or 1 cabin bag and 1 backpack.
X Large – 77.5 cm x 45 cm x 77.5 cm: Fits 1 large suitcase and 1 backpack or 3 cabin bags
XX Large – 97.3 cm x 45 cm x 77.5 cm: Fits 4 cabin bags or 2 large suitcases and a backpack.
TERMS OF USE & PROHIBITED ITEMS
User Responsibilities
Customers agree to:
• Use lockers solely to store personal items for short-term storage
• Properly secure the locker after each use
• No storing illegal, hazardous, or restricted items
• Not share access credentials with third parties
• Keep the space clean and report issues to support@holderstoragemalta.com
Leave the locker in good condition at the end of the rental.
Prohibited Contents Include:
Firearms, ammunition, explosives, and other hazardous commodities of a similar nature
Illegal substances
Drugs and Narcotics
Pharmaceutical Products
Toxic, flammable, or radioactive materials
Animals, live organisms, or perishable items including food and beverages
Items requiring licenses (e.g., weapons)
Valuables such as cash, jewellery, or electronics - money, cheques, stamps, passports, documents, bonds, credit cards, securities of any description, jewellery, precious stones, metals, bullion, furs, curiosities, rare books, or works of art, and electronic devices including peripherals etc.
Use Restrictions:
Lockers must in no way be used to facilitate third-party goods exchange
Customers should not linger in the facility beyond what is necessary
Eating, drinking, or taking photos/videos is not permitted inside
LIABILITY & INSURANCE
Holder Storage Malta provides insurance coverage for third-party property stored in its lockers up to €250, including the container. Claims must be accompanied by a police report. A €150 fee is deductible for each and every loss reported. A claim must be submitted in writing with relevant documentation to support@holderstoragemalta.com no later than five (5) days after service usage.
In the event of damage or loss, the customer must immediately inform Holder Storage Malta in writing via support@holderstoragemalta.com. A report must also be made immediately to the local police. Claims must be accompanied by a police report and submitted in writing with relevant documentation to support@holderstoragemalta.com no later than five (5) days after service usage.
The amount of the damage compensation will be paid by Holder Storage Malta within four weeks after the final determination of our liability and the amount of the damage compensation. If missing goods are found and reclaimed, the customer is obliged to take back these goods and repay any previously paid compensation for damages.
If the customer’s luggage cause damage attributable to Holder Storage Malta or to the luggage of third parties, the customer must compensate Holder Storage Malta for such damage.
Disclaimer:
Holder Storage Malta is not responsible for losses or damages resulting from customer negligence, including:
Failure to properly secure locker doors
Damage caused during storage
Forgotten or uncollected belongings
Complaints Policy:
Complaints must be submitted in writing with relevant documentation
to support@holderstoragemalta.com no later than five (5) days after service usage.
Holder Storage Malta shall not be held responsible for any claims, damages, or expenses arising from services not directly related to the locker rental service, including but not limited to accommodation bookings, transportation arrangements, or any other third-party services such as hotels, flights, or taxis. Liability for any claims directly related to the locker rental service is strictly limited to the amount paid by the customer for that specific rental period.
Force Majeure:
Holder Storage Malta will not be held liable for failure to deliver services due to extraordinary events beyond its control, including but not limited to natural disasters, strikes, interruption of water and electricity supply, public emergencies, or criminal acts.
If a locker cannot be used due to circumstances beyond the user’s control, such as storms, power outages, or other unforeseen situations, Holder Storage Malta is not obligated to provide a full refund. Each case will be assessed individually, and a suitable solution may be offered, such as a voucher or partial refund.
